We’ve been hard at work on our festive float for the Hikurangi Christmas Parade, but after a heart-warming request from our friends at Educare Hikurangi day-care, we’ve decided to make a change that we think will bring even more joy to the whole community!
A New Idea, Same Holiday Spirit
Our original plan was to create a fun, festive float filled with holiday decorations and cheer. But when Educare Hikurangi reached out asking if we could help get their children to the parade, we knew we had to make some changes. We couldn’t resist the chance to support these amazing kids and make sure they could be part of the fun!
Our New Contribution to the Hikurangi Christmas Parade: A Truck for the Kids
Instead of a traditional float, we’ll be providing a truck to safely transport the children from Educare Hikurangi, along with their caregivers, to the parade. Of course, the truck will still be decorated with all the Christmas cheer we had planned for the float—and now the kids will be the stars of the show, riding through the parade with big smiles and maybe even a few festive surprises along the way!
We’re so excited to be able to do this and help make the parade extra special for these kids. It’s a great reminder that sometimes the best ideas come from working together as a community.
Why This Matters
Supporting local groups like Educare Hikurangi is what makes our community so amazing. This isn’t just about the parade—it’s about creating memories for the kids and bringing everyone together to celebrate the holiday spirit. By offering our truck to help the daycare, we’re showing that we care and want to make the season brighter for everyone.
Looking Ahead
As we finish up the final touches for the Hikurangi Christmas Parade, we can’t wait to see the kids’ faces light up as they ride through the event. It’s going to be a magical day—and though it’s a little different than we planned, we know it will be a parade to remember for years to come.
