Septic tank cleaning starts from $500 + GST for a standard residential tank. The final price depends on the size of your tank and your location — rural properties further from Whangarei may cost more due to travel. If you’re unsure what size your tank is, give us a call on 0800 747 356 and we can talk it through.
Yes. If you need a written quote to apply for assistance through Work and Income, we can provide one. Just let us know when you get in touch and we’ll sort it out.
Most septic tanks need cleaning every 3–5 years, though it depends on how many people are in the house, the size of the tank, what goes into the system, and whether you’re recycling greywater. Larger households or smaller tanks will need it more often.
Common signs include slow-draining sinks and toilets, gurgling in the pipes, wet patches or unusually green grass over the disposal field, or smells around the tank. If you’re noticing any of these, it’s worth getting it looked at before it becomes a bigger problem.
We locate and open the tank, remove the sludge and solids with our vacuum truck, and check the tank’s condition while we’re there. Waste is disposed of in compliance with regional council requirements. Most standard cleans are done within an hour or two.
